"I became sensitized to these solid wood pieces shortly after moving them into my
new flat which had been curiously listed as 0.01 acres on the sale spec sheet. Initially I’d scoffed at this term’s relevance to a slab of concrete in a tower but it prompted me to imagine how the woods had stood as trees in their place of origin. What were their varieties, how long had they been of service to me? They were now set to coexist with one another on this “fractional acreage”, as part of a new chapter in life.
The woods began to stand out and urge acknowledgement."
